This policy explains what information e2gold.ca handles when you visit the site. The site is a set of static pages, so it has no user accounts, no comment forms and no newsletter sign-up. It does not set advertising cookies, and it does not load third-party analytics, tracking pixels or social media widgets. The fonts, scripts and images are all served from e2gold.ca itself, so your browser does not contact third-party content networks while you read. Articles with a video show only a still picture at first, and the video player from YouTube is loaded in its privacy-enhanced mode only when you press play.
Information collected when you visit
Like every website, e2gold.ca receives technical information from your browser when a page is requested. This includes your IP address, the page you asked for, the time of the request, your browser type and the address of the page that linked to us. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes this information to protect the site against attacks and to serve pages quickly, and our web server keeps short-lived access logs for the same purposes. These logs are not used to build profiles of visitors and are not sold or shared for marketing.
Visit counts and the partner link
To learn which pages are read, each page sends one short signal to our own server a moment after it opens. The signal carries the address of the page and of the page that linked to it, and our server records it together with the technical request data described above. Nothing is stored in your browser for this. We look at these records only as totals per day, page and country, after automated traffic from bots and data centres has been removed, and the server deletes them after 14 days. When you press the button of our debt-help partner, the click passes through e2gold.ca, which records the time, the country derived from your IP address, the page you came from and your browser type before sending you on. The IP address itself is kept only as a one-way code that cannot be turned back into the address.
The currency converter
The currency converter runs entirely inside your browser. The amounts and currencies you enter are not sent to our server or stored anywhere. The exchange rates it uses are embedded in the page when the page is built. Closing the page discards everything you typed.
Your rights and changes to this policy
Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, gives you the right to ask what personal information an organisation holds about you. Because e2gold.ca does not collect names, email addresses or account data, the only personal information involved is the technical request data described above. If the site later adds a feature that collects more, such as a newsletter, this policy will be updated before that feature goes live. The date at the top of this page shows when the policy last changed.
